Australia is a multicultural country and with migration on the rise over the last few years. Migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and the like face an added complexity of adapting to new cultures. This coupled with anxieties related to their past traumas can make it extremely hard for them to assimilate into a new country. Specific cultural complexities coupled with mental health can make it difficult for individuals to seek professional help. This is a support group designed to better understand the complexity of living between two cultures. A forum to: discuss the challenges of living up to cultural expectations and reducing the stigma around asking for help and supports.
