Family & Friends

Our purpose is to empower all ‘people like us’ – Australians living with depression, and this includes family members and friends.

You live with our depression too!

With one in four people in Australia suffering from depression at some stage in their life, all of us will have someone close to us among our family, friends and work colleagues who is suffering from depression.

Providing support for someone with depression can be very difficult, particularly if you haven’t experienced major depression as an illness yourself.

If you have a family member or friend who is struggling with depression, you will probably need help and support yourself!

The links below contain information help and support for the families and friends of depression sufferers.

Please send us information about any resources, organisations, books etc that may be of help to others who are providing support to someone with depression so we can include it here.
